Cactus Botanics Now Supplying Lutein, Zeaxanthin

Lutein is being offered in 5% to 80% powder. Zeaxanthin is available in 10% to 40% HPLC.

Cactus Botanics (Shanghai) has added lutein and zeaxanthin to its dietary supplement, food, and cosmeceutical ingredient portfolio.

Lutein is being offered in 5% to 80% powder. Zeaxanthin is available in 10% to 40% HPLC.

The company is touting the ingredients’ benefits, which may include aiding age-related macular degeneration and supporting overall eye health. Lutein and zeaxanthin have also shown benefits for skin health, including photoprotective properties and hydration.

“Furthermore, our lutein is viable as a food colorant and nutrient additive. Lutein can convert to 3’-epilutein and anhydrolutein I in an acidic medium as well as during different cooking methods,” adds the company’s general manager Carol Cheow.
