Called prOATein, the vegan-friendly protein ingredient is rich in leucine and lysine.
Oat beta glucan specialist Biovelop International AB (Kimstad, Sweden) has announced the launch of a non-GMO oat protein called prOATein. The company's new protein ingredient is dairy-free, nut-free, vegan-friendly, and particularly rich in the amino acids leucine and lysine.
Biovelop uses a chemical-free technology on non-GMO oats to produce the clean-label oat protein. The company says its ingredient should benefit further from high consumer acceptance and familiarity with oats and lack of GMO concern surrounding this protein source.
The oat protein inredient is currently available in powder form.
