BioCell Collagen II has been clinically substantiated for numerous health conditions, primarily for healthy joints and skin. The ingredient features a naturally occurring matrix of collagen type II, chondroiten sulfate, and hyaluronic acid. The company says the ingredient is highly bioavailable and has a very low molecular weight thanks to its patented hydrolysis process. The ingredient is derived from articular cartilage, whose composition the company says is very similar to human articular joint cartilage.
GRAS affirmation means the ingredient is now allowed in conventional foods and beverages.
