With Informed-Sport registration, Biothera's Wellmune ingredient has been independently tested to be free of banned athletic substances.
Biothera (Eagan, MN) has announced that its flagship ingredient Wellmune, a beta-glucan derived from baker’s yeast, is registered with Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice. The distinction means that Wellmune has been tested for and found free of athletic substances banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency.
While Biothera’s ingredient has already made a stake in the immune health market, there is a prospect for such an ingredient to perform well in the sports category. Biothera says that Wellmune can help athletes stay healthy during and after intense workouts. The ingredient is already featured in at least two commercial sports products: MRI Immune Fit and ImmiFlex.
Wellmune is a kosher, halal, and allergen-free ingredient.
