ArcticSource1 Gets Chitosan Supply

Article

The fish oil supplier has acquired Norwegian Chitosan.

ArcticSource1 (Boulder, CO) has acquired Norwegian Chitosan, a specialist in the production of chitosan ingredients. The acquisition allows ArcticSource1 to expand its supply of marine ingredients, which was previously limited to fish derivatives such as oils and protein.

Chitosan is a material derived from the exoskeletons of crustaceans. It can act as a soluble fiber and is often used as a thickener and antibacterial agent in cosmetics. Limited research also suggests potential for weight reduction with chitosan supplementation.
