SIDI provides industry members with a series of voluntary guidelines in order to give companies a standardized way of qualifying their ingredient suppliers.
Mineral amino acids chelates supplier Albion (Clearfield, UT) has launched its newly redesigned and enhanced SIDI website. SIDI stands for Standardized Information on Dietary Ingredients. It’s an initiative started by industry trade associations the Consumer Healthcare Products Association, the Council for Responsible Nutrition, and the United Natural Products Alliance, to provide industry members with a series of voluntary guidelines in order to give companies a standardized way of qualifying their ingredient suppliers.
Albion’s SIDI page on its site aims to provide its customers with specific product data they need on Albion products. “By standardizing information, this voluntary guideline will assist Albion information exchange to our dietary supplement manufacturers,” says Kory Longhurst, the company’s director of quality systems.
