The ingredient comprises a patented magnesium L-threonate, which the company says can help support healthy magnesium levels in the brain.
Functional ingredients supplier AIDP Inc. (Los Angeles) has secured the exclusive distribution rights to Magtein, a magnesium-based functional ingredient for improving memory, focus, and overall cognitive health.
The ingredient comprises a patented magnesium L-threonate, which the company says can help support healthy magnesium levels in the brain and in turn aid against cognitive decline. It says that certain health conditions can result in pockets of damaged brain tissue that prevent messages from transmitting properly and cause memory loss.
The company says Magtein shows promise not only for individuals with severe memory loss but also for those with trouble concentrating, limited attention spans, and natural memory loss due to oxidation and aging.
“Magtein is an exciting product because it has so many potential applications in the fields of memory enhancement, increased focus, and mental acuity,” says Kathy Lund, the company’s director of business and marketing.
