Ginger may lower more diabetic markers than just blood sugar.
Another Iranian study found a potential link between ginger and diabetes management. When 70 diabetics consumed ginger or a wheat flour placebo for 12 weeks, those in the ginger group experienced lower fasting blood sugar and a variety of other cardiovascular improvements, including better HbA1c scores, lower levels of triglycerides and cholesterol, and lower levels of C-reactive protein (CRP). The dosage here was 1600 mg of ginger daily.
