The Congressional Dietary Supplement Caucus will remain a voice for dietary supplements on Capitol Hill.
With the 112th U.S. Congress now in session, the Natural Products Association (Washington, DC) has announced that the Dietary Supplement Caucus has officially relaunched.
The Congressional Dietary Supplement Caucus is a group of senators and representatives that bring issues relating to the importance of dietary supplements to Congress. The current caucus includes Senators Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Representatives Jared Polis (D-CO), Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) and Dan Burton (R-IN).
With the help of the Dietary Supplement Caucus and dietary supplement manufacturers around the country, the U.S. Congress can be a turning point for national awareness of the health benefits of dietary supplements.
For industry members interested in meeting key members of Congress, the Natural Products Association is holding its annual Natural Products Day on April 6 in Washington, DC.
