Nutritional Outlook is excited to announce that Joseph Dowling, CEO of CV Sciences (San Diego, CA), has joined the publication’s Editorial Advisory Board. Nutritional Outlook’s EAB is a distinguished group of thought leaders with expertise in various facets of the nutraceutical, health and wellness, and healthy food and beverages markets. EAB members provide Nutritional Outlook’s editors with industry insights and guidance.
As CEO of CV Sciences, a developer and distributor of hemp-derived-cannabidiol (CBD) products, Dowling leads an expert team of scientists, medical professionals, and operational leaders. He was appointed the company’s CEO in May 2018 after serving as its CFO for four years. Prior to entering the wellness space, Dowling held executive positions in the biotech and finance industries. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a degree in economics, and is a certified public accountant.
Dowling says that he “strongly believes in the power of plant-based and science-backed ingredients like CBD to support a happier, healthier life.” The company adds that, in addition, under Dowling’s leadership, “CV Sciences is developing a first-of-its-kind CBD-based treatment for smokeless tobacco addiction.”
