Women in Nutraceuticals (WIN), a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to increase the percentage of women in leadership positions in the nutraceutical industry, has announced that Rebecca Takemoto has joined the organization as executive director to manage the efforts WIN’s all-volunteer structure. WIN explains in a press release that Takemoto is experienced in association management, fine tuning operations, focusing board and volunteer efforts, and creating strategic plans. Her initial priorities, says WIN, are to streamline and focus the volunteers at the organization who are executing WIN programs, as well as examine whether additional staff is necessary, and how to support the board’s vision and plans.
“I am so impressed with all that has been accomplished since WIN's inception, and haven’t seen its equal in my 25 years of association work,” said Takemoto, in a press release. “I am initially analyzing the organization to see where I can help move WIN’s mission forward while streamlining operations. The board has, to this point, been focused on a lot of details that come with the start of any organization. My hope is that I can free their time and efforts to concentrate on vision and strategy. It will be my job to take that vision and turn it into a work plan for 2024 and forward.”
