Mellitas Health Foods LLC (Ithaca, NY) has launched two new ingredients: Max Bloc Carb Blocker and Targeted Immune Serine Protease Inhibitor. The Max Block Carb Blocker is a clinically tested starch blocker, which the firm says has 10 times that carb-blocking strength compared to traditional white bean extract. The Targeted Immune Natural Serine Protease has no toxic lectin and offer 20-30 times more natural protease inhibitor for immune support than soybean or pea protein isolate, says Mellitas Health Foods in a press release.
“We are strived to provide our customers with high-potency and science-validated ingredients,” said Sharon Lee, director of business development at Mellitas Health Foods, in a press release. “Innovations and collaborations with top-tier universities will be the key for the continuous improvement of our ingredients performance.”
Mellitas Health Foods is based in the Cornell University Business and Technology Park, and the firm has invested heavily on research and development, as well as human clinical trials, collaborating with universities in the process.
