EFSA Seeks Data on Energy Drink Consumption
More about:
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is calling for data on the consumption of energy drinks by specific consumer groups.
In 2009, EFSA published a scientific opinion evaluating the safety of taurine and d-glucurono-gamma-lactone, popular energy drink ingredients, as individual ingredients. EFSA stated, “Overall, the Panel concludes that the exposure to taurine and d-glucurono-gamma-lactone at the levels mentioned above is not of safety concern.”
