Food flavor and ingredient manufacturer Gold Coast Ingredients (Commerce, CA) has received International Food Standard (IFS), Version 5, certification, indicating that the company is compliant with the latest internationally approved standards and regulations for food safety.
The audit was conducted by DNV Business Assurance over a three-day period. The company says that the IFS standard is benchmarked against the criteria of the Global Food Safety Initiative, which was established in 2000 to evoke continuous improvement in food-safety management systems, supply chain cost efficiency, and food safety worldwide.
