Cactus Botanics Launches Brown Seaweed
The company says fucoidan has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory effects, making it beneficial for heart health, as well as supportive of hypothyroidism, fatigue, and menstruation.

Cactus Botanics (Shanghai) is now offering various grades of brown seaweed (Laminaria japonica), which contains high levels of health-supporting fucoidan. The company says fucoidan has been shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory effects, making it beneficial for heart health, as well as supportive of hypothyroidism, fatigue, and menstruation.
For dietary supplements, the company is offering:
- A brown seaweed powder extract with a 20:1 to 75:1 ration with more than 50% polysaccharides
- Brown seaweed-derived fucoidan 85% for pharmaceutical- and food-grade applications
- Fucoidan 20% and 35%
