The producer of botanical ingredients and organic berries is expanding to reach customers in the U.S. and Canada.
In a recent announcement, botanical ingredient producer Greenvit launched several of its clinically tested ingredients into the North American market. Founded in 2010, Greenvit supplies 52 herbal extracts from herbs grown across the European continent.
“Throughout the world, the dietary supplement and functional food and beverage markets show no signs of growth cessation, bringing the need for natural product brand owners to create innovative and relevant products,” stated Greenvit CEO Rafal Pietruszynski in the announcement. “Having established Greenvit firmly throughout Europe and in Asia, we look forward to working with customers in North America to help them achieve superior quality, green, sustainable and proven botanical ingredients.”
Greenvit produces standardized maltodextrin-free berry ingredients and proprietary berry blends with ingredients such as elderberry, tart cherry, and aronia, for example. Included in the announcement were the six branded extracts now available in North America:
According to the announcement, Greenvit uses a unique method for supplying its materials. The herbal materials are sourced from approved suppliers in the European Union and thoroughly tested in its laboratory for contaminants and for active substances. Their methodologies in include UPLC and HPLC chromatographs with DAD detectors and UV-VIS spectrophotometer.
“Our berry ingredients are tested for purity and authenticity by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR),” stated Pietruszynski. “NMR is fit for purpose and is one of the most accurate test method to defend against adulteration. Purity, efficacy, safety and standardization are pillars of strength to assure a high standard of premium quality.”
