Barentz has announced a distribution partnership with CrushDynamics, which specializes in advanced fermentation technology and upcycled ingredients. The partnership, says the company, allows Barentz to leverage CrushDynamic’s proprietary ingredients designed to enhance flavor profiles, nutritional value, and sustainability. Crush Dynamics’ patented fermentation technology transforms polyphenol-rich agricultural side streams into natural multi-functional ingredients that modulate flavor while lowering sodium and sugar content across a variety of food formulations, such as sauces and savory applications.
"We are excited to be working with CrushDynamics to bring their innovative and certified-UpCycled ingredients to food and beverage manufactures in North America," said Andrea Carlson, president of Human Nutrition, Barentz North America, in a press release. "Through Barentz's offering of CrushDynanics' unique portfolio, we will help clients sustainably, and successfully, reduce salt and/or sugar, boost nutritional content, and optimize overall taste and liking of formulas."
"It's a privilege to work with innovators like Barentz who are delivering on the promise of upcycling for food producer customers globally. Our mission is to enable our customers to deliver healthier formulations cost effectively by using our multi-function, natural, upcycled ingredients. We are pleased to be working with Barentz to accomplish this mission." said Kirk Moir, CEO of Crush Dynamics.
