OmniActive Health Technologies (Morristown, NJ) has entered into an exclusive distribution partnership in China. Shanghai Prochin will distribute OmniActive’s Lutemax 2020 lutein and zeaxanthin isomers to the nutraceutical industry in China, a key and fast expanding global market that the company says is expected to reach $40 billion by 2023 on a CAGR of 14%, according to Zion Market Research. Shanghai Prochin specializes in distributing dairy and other ingredients in China and is part of the Alliance Nutrition Group, an international group specializing in nutrition and health foods.
"China's 1.4 billion people account for the highest general population on the globe, and with screen time on the rise as well as an increase in life expectancy and changes in diet, the clinically studied, globally recognized vision and cognitive health and performance benefits of Lutemax 2020 will fill [the] nutritional gap," said Johan Kamphuis, president, global business, OmniActive Health Technologies, in a press release. "We stand confident that combining Shanghai Prochin's capabilities and OmniActive's expertise in innovation and technologies will ensure sustainable growth in this key market."
