Dr. Abedon has worked in the nutraceutical industry for nearly two decades providing technical expertise at leading premium ingredient providers (Vice President of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs- NutraGenesis; R&D Senior Manager- Innophos) in the areas of Research & Development, new product development, and technical support for sales, marketing, and regulatory teams. He has authored numerous publications, white papers, marketing ingredient sell sheets and technical profiles, and other technical documents and has conducted research in new technologies that has resulted in several patents. Dr. Abedon has been an invited speaker at tradeshows, academic conferences, and other events.

Now CEO of his own consulting firm for the nutraceutical industry, Bonnyvale Solutions, Dr. Abedon continues to offer his talents for large and small scale projects related to ingredient research and development, regulatory compliance, scientific support for structure/function and health claims, quality issues, technical support for marketing and sales efforts of ingredient suppliers and dietary supplement providers, and more. Dr. Abedon also specializes in assisting foreign companies possessing novel ingredients that require assistance in entering the U.S. market.

Prior to working in the nutraceutical industry, Dr. Abedon worked in academics as an Assistant Professor for over a decade at elite liberal arts colleges located in the Mid-South and Northeast of the United States, teaching and performing research in the areas of botany, human nutrition, and genetics. Dr. Abedon received his PhD in Plant Genetics from University of Wisconsin, Madison and a B.S. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
