Herbalist & Alchemist was founded in 1982 by noted herbalist David Winston and is dedicating to producing practitioner-quality herbal products from organically grown or ethically wildcrafted botanicals. As CEO of Herbalist & Alchemist, Beth is a well-known leader in the herbal products industry. A graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Business School who rose to be a managing director at the investment banking firm PaineWebber, Beth made the decision to instead focus upon sustainable choices. After teaching agricultural economics at Rutgers University and being involved in community-supported agriculture and permaculture, she joined Herbalist & Alchemist in 1995, where she continues to lead the company as CEO today. Beth also sits on the executive committee and board of directors of leading industry association the American Herbal Products Association (AHPA). Beth also chairs AHPA’s Education Committee and the AHPA-ERB Foundation. She is also a board member of the Veterinary Botanical Medicine Association. Beth has won numerous industry awards and was named an AHPA Herbal Hero by the American Herbal Products Association.
