The United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA; Salt Lake City) has welcomed the first member under the association’ new hemp extract/cannabinoids member policy guidelines. The guidelines, established in October, set forth a framework of best practices and compliance standards for hemp extract/cannabinoid products. They exclude synthetic CBD.

The new UNPA member admitted under this policy is Mile High Labs, a CBD ingredient and product manufacturer supplying bulk CBD and private-label services.

“We’re honored that Mile High Labs joins UNPA as our first hemp extracts/cannabinoid Executive member,” said Loren Israelsen, UNPA president, in a press release. “The company has demonstrated a clear commitment to quality, science and research, together with a world-class facility and a committed and competent management team. We look forward to their expertise and perspectives as we work together to promote the responsible sale and use of hemp-based products.”

“We’re excited to be the first CBD company to join UNPA," said Fenella Keig, compliance officer for Mile High Labs. "The alliance is unparalleled in its expertise and commitment to the supplements industry. We look forward to working with UNPA leadership and other member organizations to create awareness of CBD and other hemp-derived products.”
