Ecuadorian Rainforest (ER) Began…in the everyday practices of people—people who lived day-to-day restoring and healing themselves with naturally grown food and medicinal herbs.  Nurtured in her family’s commitment to these very practices, Ecuador native Marlene Siegel founded ER in 1997, assured that her country’s practices could be adapted by people in all hemispheres as a means of improving their quality of life.

Preserving the textures of family and national heritage, Ecuadorian Rainforest was conceived and continues to be operated as a family based business.  Shortly after founding ER in 1997, Marlene enlisted the help of her son, Steve Siegel, who joined the company as its vice president in 2004.  Both Marlene (company CEO) and Steve—equally matched in their passion for nutraceuticals—carefully nurtured relationships with the world’s farmers, researched the most eclectic array of products, and uniquely defined the strictest measures of quality control so that they could offer the richness of Ecuador’s rainforest ecology to the entire world.

Our Goal…is to inspire manufacturers and product formulators to buy and sell organic foods and medicinal botanicals; for, it is the fertile reservoir of product creation and manufacturing that holds the greatest promise for transforming the world’s consumption habits.  Although we primarily supply to manufacturers, individuals may call us and order products directly.  Fruits, vegetables, marine products, herbs, herbal powders and powdered extracts are ER’s primary categories of merchandise.  We do not simply offer these items for sell; our Quality Controls Department ensures that each product adheres to the most rigorous standards of quality, as mandated by federal and state regulations, and our own internal measures.  Our commitments to transforming lives and maintaining high product quality have allowed us to maintain our position as one of the premier representatives of farmers worldwide!
