Enzymotec Gains New Patent for Omega-Sterols
Manufactured by Enzymotec (Migdal HaEmek, Israel), the ingredient is clinically proven to provide cardiovascular benefits.

Omega-Sterols, a patented ingredient comprising “naturally occurring hybrids of phytosterols and omega-3,” has garnered an Australian patent (No. AU-0552025002). Manufactured by Enzymotec (Migdal HaEmek, Israel), the ingredient is clinically proven to provide cardiovascular benefits, including for blood lipid control and support of health levels of blood triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.
The Australian patent addresses Omega-Sterols’ benefits as a functional food for diabetics. Enzymotec says the patent is part of five different patents that cover the ingredient’s properties, composition, and methods of use.
