AIDP (City of Industry, CA) is now an exclusive U.S. distributor of Weishardt International’s (Graulhet, France) Naticol, a marine Type I collagen peptide ingredient for joint and skin health.
According to the companies, Naticol uniquely contains more than 16% of essential amino acids and around 50% of glycine, proline, and hydroxyproline, key amino acid constituents of Type I collagen. “No other source of protein can provide this ratio of major skin [health] components,” the companies claim. Other benefits include its small molecular weight, which enables high bioavailability. The firms say that studies have shown that Naticol may help slow signs of aging by increasing collagen synthesis and promoting skin elasticity and firmness and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
“People want to stay active into their 70s and 80s, and at the same time are concerned with appearance and using natural supplements to maintain healthy skin, joints, bones, and more,” said AIDP’s president, Mark Thurston, in a press release. “Marine-based collagen has been shown to support both joint health and skin care.”
