John Gay has been named executive director and CEO of the Natural Products Association (Washington, DC). Gay was most recently senior vice president, government affairs and public policy, for the National Restaurant Association.

Nutri-Force Nutrition has completed construction of its new manufacturing facility in Miami Lakes, FL. In addition to 30 manufacturing rooms and innovative production-control processes, the facility includes a full analytical laboratory.

BioCell Technology LLC (Newport Beach, CA) has hired Joosang Park, PhD, MBA, as vice president of scientific affairs. Park will oversee all R&D relating to the company's branded ingredients, including BioCell Collagen II and i-Sabi.

Jungbunzlauer has added two new market development managers, Colleen Zammer and Peter Bradbury. Both will focus on the company's HealthyChoices ingredients portfolio in North America.

Terese O'Neill is now key account manager for P.L. Thomas (Morristown, NJ). O'Neill will focus on food and beverages, dietary supplements, and cosmeceuticals. Previously, she worked for Danisco, most recently as regional director of its emulsifier business.

Pat Mernaugh is now director of purchasing for Premium Ingredients International's (Carol Stream, IL) U.S. operations. He oversees international sourcing and product development.

Robin Liberatore and Dan Petrillo have been hired by Nutratech Inc. (West Caldwell, NJ) as key account managers. Liberatore will focus on the company's Advantra Z thermogenic ingredient, while Petrillo will focus on the bodybuilding and fitness areas.

Heidi Kleinbach-Sauter, PhD, has joined PepsiCo Inc. (Purchase, NY) as senior vice president, R&D global foods. She will oversee the R&D global foods and snack business, including development of products with functional avantages.

Miles McEvoy has been named the new deputy administrator of the USDA's National Organic Program.

Denomega Nutritional Oils (Sarpsborg, Norway) has named Mike O'Shea director of sales and marketing. He joins Denomega from Borregaard's fine-chemical business.

Kemin Industries (Des Moines, IA) has promoted Melanie Galloway to president of Kemin Food Technologies. Galloway will oversee Kemin Food Technologies, which has changed its name from Kemin Food Ingredients.

Ecuadorian Rainforest's (Belleville, NJ) vice president, Steve Siegel, has been appointed to the Natural Products Association's raw-materials committee for 2010.
